Dorel Juvenile Group Recalls Eddie Bauer Rocking Wood Bassinets Due to Infant Suffocation Hazard
Dorel Juvenile Group (DJG) and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) are conducting a voluntary recall of the Eddie Bauer Wood Bassinet, Model Nos. 10632, 10639, 10832, 10839, 10835 and BT021. All manufacture dates are affected.
The spring for assembly to the bottom locking rod could be missing or misassembled, which can cause the lock to unlock on its own and tip slightly to one side, causing infants to roll to the side of the bassinet. This poses a suffocation hazard to infants.
Dorel Juvenile Group will contact all registered owners and provide them with information on how to obtain a free repair kit. The affected bassinet should not be returned to the retailer.
