This month we chatted with Safety 1st Industrial Designer, Paul Brown, about what it’s like raising his two children, Ethan, 7, and Avery, 15 months. Paul reports that Ethan is in second grade and is taking tae kwon do lessons! Much to Paul’s amazement Ethan comes home after class and spouts off Korean words. He loves riding bikes and helping around the house (a big plus for Paul!) Ethan is also quite the comedian. Little sister Avery loves watching the show Boombah (she can even imitate the characters’ sounds) and her favorite foods are sweet potatoes, peas, and chicken. The family has three cats (Ming-Ming, Cleo, and Mr. Mittens) so that keeps the children on their toes. This year, the Brown family is spending the holidays in Maine so Ethan and Avery can visit their grandparents and their great-grandmother who is 96 years old! On the top of Ethan’s wish list is an air hockey table and Avery (although too young to ask for anything) will be receiving her “1-year old” handmade quilt from her Aunt. They will also be making gingerbread houses and decorating their tree. And Ethan can’t wait for the first snowflake to fall so he can go sledding! (We’re expecting a big snowstorm here in the Northeast so it looks like he might get his wish!) We wish the Brown family and all of our Safety 1st families health and happiness this holiday season!
