Dorel Juvenile Group USA Wins Multiple Communications Honors
Product Launch Campaign, New Media Strategy, Web Site Design Awarded in Various Competitions
FOXBORO, Mass. - September 10, 2008 - Dorel Juvenile Group USA (DJG USA), a division of Dorel Industries (TSX: DII.B DII.A), the nation's largest juvenile products manufacturer and the maker of Safety 1st®, Cosco® Juvenile, Quinny® and Maxi-Cosi® brand and Eddie Bauer® and Disney® licensed products, is pleased to announce today that the company has been recognized with awards for their product launch campaign, new media strategy, and Web site design in competitions across the country.
DJG USA garnered two awards from the Publicity Club of New England, which recognizes excellence in communications and public relations through its annual Bell Ringer Awards. DJG USA won a Bell - the highest honor in a given category -in the "product/service launch: consumer campaign" category for the U.S. launch of the Quinny® stroller brand, as well as a Merit award in the "new media" category for their efforts to introduce moms online to the Quinny® brand.
The Advertising Federation of Greater Akron recognized DJG USA with a Gold award for their design and programming work on two consumer-branded Web sites, Safety 1st.com and Eddiebauer.djgusa.com, in the 2008 Akron ADDY® Awards. The competition is a precursor to the national ADDY Awards, which honors excellence in the advertising industry. The Summit International Creative Awards®, which recognizes creative and communications excellence, also recognized the companies' work on the design of Safety1st.com with a Silver award.
