Design Engineer

Dorel Juvenile Group is looking to fill a Design Engineering position at our Design and Development Center in Foxboro, MA.

This position will be responsible for the design of consumer products with emphasis on plastic part design.  The designs will need to meet all design/functional requirements, aesthetic requirements, quality requirements and product standards.  The individual should have a solid understanding of plastic injection molding with regard to the design of plastic parts.

This position requires knowledge of developing schedules for the products, estimation of product costs and communication with suppliers with regard to managing products.  Travel, both domestic and international, may be required to support the development and delivery of products.

Bachelors degree in engineering or engineering technology along with 2-5 years experience in design and/or management of consumer products required.  Experience specifically with plastic part design and assembly methods.  Experience managing multiple projects to deadline.  Expert knowledge of Solidworks, ProE or UniGraphics a must.  Must be able to communicate effectively with all teammates including non-technical members in both oral and written format.
