Director, Operations and Business Process

Top areas of focus for the position include; Improving margins and KPI across categories by identifying and acting on operational, performance, cost to serve and product cost opportunities. Negotiate pricing for new and running line products, mitigate cost increases, and negotiate/achieve costs savings on running line products. Support purchasing team by reviewing and solving lead-time, capacity, and forecasting issues to ensure that suppliers produce and ship on time and meet the needs of our customers. Lead sourcing efforts for new products, suppliers, technologies, and services as needed by the development teams. Manage the Non-Conformance/Supplier Chargeback process and support RGD initiatives. Daily activities involve the coordination/Integration of DJG USA and DJG China team – both from an informative perspective, as well as driving both teams to adopt new initiatives or improve current processes. Act as the communication lead between Dorel China Sourcing and Foxboro NPD teams with respect to product/component/vendor sourcing, and resolution of various types of vendor issues related to new product development. Responsible for process creation and improvement in Columbus, Foxboro and China.

Bachelor degree preferred with concentration in Engineering. Over 6 years working experience in consumer products, with minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.   Broad exposure to all aspects of supply chain management, product development, and quality management.   Must have strong business acumen. Sound experience in people management, process development and leading cross functional teams a must. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal required. Must be a team player and have the ability to work across all disciplines and at all levels, both internally and externally. Must be able to travel internationally as required by the position.
